These photographs illustrate the process of manufacturing the Catrina
dolls.
They are made out of recycled cardboard and newspaper. After
marinating it to a pulp, it later is placed on a cast.
Here it acquires the desired shape. Later the pieces are polished and
joined to the rest of the doll.
